Word of God – We place utmost importance in the teaching of the Word of God as a vital part to impacting the community. We are non-denominational, but adhere to an evangelical theology, which we believe can be culturally adapted to connect with the indigenous heart without compromising the truth.
Indigenous Christians – We place high emphasis on the potential of indigenous Christians to serve, lead, preach, evangelize, plant churches. Our aim is not to hinder or control local Christians, but to entrust, support, equip and empower them to take the front line positions as much as possible.
Evangelism – We believe in a holistic approach to evangelism that includes both proclamation of God’s Word as well as meeting the social needs of the community. Ultimately however, we believe that the only thing that can fill a person’s emptiness is a Christ-centred transformation of the heart.
Work of the Holy Spirit – We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit in electing, touching and opening a person’s heart to the gospel. It is the initiative of God that one is saved, and we are his instruments ready to be used by him to achieve that goal. We take no glory for ourselves. We believe that God has elected those to be saved from every tribe, language, people and nation (cf. Rev 5:9), including the peoples of the various villages in Surin. For that very reason we are compelled to missions to seek out those people.
