Surin Foundation Child Scholarship Program

The Surin Foundation provides a scholarship fund for disadvantaged children in Thailand. The scholarship is holistic program which not only provides for basic needs such as education, sanitation and medical costs as required, but also seeks to equip the child with special skills training in the area of their gifting, may it be drama, singing, arts, etc… this may involved sending the children to special classes, or inviting volunteers from oversees to offer short-term training. The child is also invited to attend nightly tuition classes that assist them in their studies.

The program is run with Christian principles based on empowerment, opportunity, encouragement and love. Alongside their academic studies, the children are given the best opportunity to explore the Christian faith and a heart-felt relationship with God. Where appropriate, the Foundation will support a Christian worker to serve as a mentor and tuition teacher for the children.

The scholarship is granted on the basis that both parents and child are supportive of the program and its principals. We encourage the parents to be involved in the child’s development. We refrain from monetary hand-outs, but work with the parents through a long-term program to see their children reach their fullest potential.
